Stepping Out with Constable Jude

Thursday 19 February
Last week we had our first lesson with constable Jude. She talked to us about the dangers on the road and then showed us what to do when we cross the road. Then we went outside and crossed an imaginary road. We had to make sure we stopped, looked, and listened.

Tuesday 24 February
On Tuesday we walked across Kelvin Road all by ourselves.
Constable Jude took us for a walk up the road and we had to make sure that we looked down sneaky driveways for cars. Then we had to cross the road and make sure we looked both ways and wait for any cars that were coming!

Thursday 26 February

Today we were learning about car safety and the importance of booster seats in the car. We found out that children should be seated in a booster seat until they are 7 years of age. We also got to dress up in police uniforms and hear the siren! Exciting!

Great start to 2015!

Another busy school year is under way in 2015. The children in Room 9 have been working hard to get to know one another.

The students have created an 'All About Me' puzzle piece to let the class know some things about them.

In week 1 we read The Rainbow Fish. We talked about how we are good friends like the Rainbow Fish. The children came up with some wonderful examples!
